HOW TO PUT A HINDQUARTERS HARNESS ON

Hindquarters harnesses have been designed for maximum comfort and are easy to use. The harness supports your dog in all the right places: your dog lead attaches to the D ring at the nape of the neck and pressure is borne by the chest gently discouraging pulling. Made from 100% cotton webbing, our harnesses are strong, durable and washable, but also soft-to-the-touch with flex and give. And adjustable for an exact and comfy fit.

Simply: Keeping the D ring uppermost, place the loop over your dog's head and fasten up either side, adjusting accordingly.

Here are step-by-step instructions for putting a Hindquarters harness on your dog and ensuring a perfect fit:

1. Place the loop over your dog's head:

2. An over-the-head harness: rest the loop around your dog's lower neck:

3. Make sure the D ring (to attach dog lead) is uppermost and sits just below the nape of your dog's neck:

4. The O ring should be aligned with your dog's chest:

7. Adjust the harness - there are 5 adjustment points - to ensure and exact and comfy fit:

In terms of adjusting the harness and achieving a perfect fit:

First, we recommend adjusting the neck (both adjustment points equally) aiming for the harness to sit firmly - not loosely - on your dog's lower neck. Then adjust between the legs, allowing a couple of centimetres behind the legs for free movement. Then adjust the girth, both sides equally.

Finally, let your dog move around abit so you can see if it's too baggy or too tight anywhere, and make final adjustments

It is worth taking 5 or 10 minutes at the outset to make sure all the adjustment points are well aligned for your dog and their comfort. While adjusting the harness, make sure it stays symmetrical, with the O ring at the centre of your dog's chest.

The metalwork is marine-grade steel: strong, lightweight and corrosion-proof.
