WHAT SIZE BED FOR MY DOG? HOW TO CHOOSE THE BEST DOG BED

WHAT SIZE BED FOR MY DOG? HOW TO CHOOSE THE BEST DOG BED

It's worth double checking what size Hindquarters dog bed would best suit your dog.

Here we illustrate Hindquarters dog bed sizes with their dimensions and photos - and have compiled an approximate guide on which size dog bed would be good for various dog breeds.

We make 5 dog bed sizes, in an oval shape to echo the shape of your dog lying flat:

  • XS dog bed is 70x50cm including the 10cm bolster
  • SMALL dog bed size is 80x70cm including the 15cm bolster
  • MEDIUM is 100x75cm including the 15cm bolster
  • LARGE dog bed size is 110x80cm including the 20cm bolster
  • EXTRA LARGE dog bed is 120x90cm including the 20cm bolster

Your dog will rest up against the bolster using it as support and not be restricted by it. A chunky bolster gives your dog something to rest up against.

Your dog's bed needs to be versatile enough to accommodate a whole range of positions. An oval shape with bolster enables them to comfortably adopt any sleep position, to curl up comfortably or stretch right out fully supported.

Hindquarters dog beds are soft and semi-structured in an oval shape. This echoes the shape of your dog lying flat and allows them to comfortably nest or stretch right out fully supported.

A bolster gives your dog something comfy and supportive to rest up against. They will like to lie along the bolster, leaning into it.

Stick snoozing in a Large size dog bed. Stick, a Boxer, measures 70cm from the nape of her neck to the base of her tail, snoozing on a Large dog bed, using the bolster as support:

There is often significant size variation within breeds so it is sensible to measure the size of you dog when they are lying down to see how much space they need.
